Trailhead Directions

Access is from Whistler Olympic Park, the cross-country skiing, biathlon and ski jumping facility in the Callaghan Valley. Whistler Olympic Park is at the far end of Callaghan Valley Road, which leaves highway 99 north of Brandywine Falls, about 20km south of Whistler. The backcountry access trails begin from the Biathlon Range Parking Lot, which is about 1km past the main Day Lodge on Callaghan Valley Road.

The trail begins from the Biathlon Range Parking Lot.

You first have to ski down a groomed cross country trail to reach the trail head.

Once you reach the trail head, it winds its way up through the trees.

At one point we had to descend an icy slope to make the crossing over the creek.

As we got closer to the lake, it began to open up.

We made it!

After having a quick lunch we decided to head up the slope to our left, as avalanche risk was high.

We were running out of time, but we did manage to get a few turns in before we headed back down.
